Born and raised in Colombia, I am an author and artist, and my journey has been shaped by creativity, resilience and self-expression. "Pintando Mi Vida""Como El Vitiligo Impacto Mi Historia." tells my deeply personal story, that of my life with vitiligo, a journey that began when I was only four years old. Through this memoir, I explore themes of self-discovery, emotional challenges, and the power of self-love.
Art has always been a faithful companion in my life, since I was very young. As a child, I enjoyed painting, drawing and creating artistic cards for my classmates - a precocious passion that awakened in me a lasting vocation for creativity. At the age of 33, I answered my call as a professional artist by enrolling in university to obtain a degree in fine arts. Since then, I have fully devoted myself to the vibrant universe of artistic expression, constantly evolving and perfecting my art. Since 2018, my works have been exhibited in galleries, where I have had the opportunity to share my colorful creations with various audiences. My work is imbued with the bright hues and cultural richness of my roots. My goal is to capture the essence of my identity and to convey a unique cultural perspective through my art. The exploration of various mediums allows me to push the limits of creativity, giving rise to dynamic and expressive works. Painting is not only my passion, it is also my sanctuary - a joyful and cathartic outlet that celebrates the beauty of the vibrant palette of life. Through each brushstroke, I seek to convey the joy and beauty that art brings to my life, inspiring happiness and connection in those who discover my work.
My paintings are inspired by the vibrant colors and rich culture of my homeland. My art is a celebration of bold colors and textures, inviting you on a sensory journey that engages all your senses. I use unconventional materials like sand, tulle, cotton, feathers, and wood to create pieces that celebrate Colombian identity and resilience. But more than that, with each brushstroke, I aim to communicate the joy and beauty that art brings to my life. My ultimate goal is to lift and inspire, to evoke a sense of happiness and connection in those who experience my work.
